Sweden's THE HAUNTED sign to Century Media Records!

Swedish thrashers THE HAUNTED have announced signing a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records after a successful partnership for the band’s stunning three last albums (“rEVOLVEr”, “The Dead Eye”, “Versus”).

Spain's ANGELUS APATRIDA sign worldwide deal with Century Media!

CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS proudly announces the worldwide signing of the Thrash Metal band ANGELUS APATRIDA, the most promising and threatening Metal band from Spain!
This young commando was born in the spanish town of Albacete in the year 2000 and perfectly combines both the aggression and the melodic edge of classic 80’s Thrash Metal with a breathtaking modern southern fury that results in an impressive blend of rage, attitude and a high level of technical skills, rarely seen with young bands like this.

ANGELUS APATRIDA comment on the signing as follows: "We are extremely enthusiastic about this opportunity to show around what we are made of! It's an honour for us to become part of the Century Media Records family, one of the labels with the best reputation worldwide and a home to some of the bands we admire the most and grew up listening to!”

ANGELUS APATRIDA’s band name mixes spanish and latin language and can be translated into english as ‘stateless’ or ‘renegade’ angels. Influenced by the early Bay Area Thrash Metal and N.W.O.B.H.M. scenes and more specifically bands like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, Pantera, Testament or Annihilator, ANGELUS APATRIDA have crafted their career in their spanish homeland so far with two independent album releases,“Evil Unleashed” (2006) and “Give ‘Em War” (2007), as well as countless of live-appearances on larger national festivals (Lorca Rock, Alternavigo, Metalway Festival, etc.) and the clubs of most of the country’s larger cities with acts like Barón Rojo, Destruction, Sepultura and many more.

ANGELUS APATRIDA are currently finishing the songwriting process for their Century Media debut album, tentatively entitled “Clockwork” and to be recorded in January 2010. Century Media signs German metal band, CALIBAN

Both originally hailing from the Ruhr Area, the largest agglomeration in Germany, modern metal force CALIBAN and Century Media Records are finally worldwide partners in crime after being neighbours for years and already co-operating for CALIBAN’s last album “The Awakening” for North America. After HEAVEN SHALL BURN and MAROON Century Media Records is delighted to welcome CALIBAN and hence being a home for the trinity of German modern metal.

Marc Goertz, guitarist, comments: “We are more then happy to announce that we have signed a new record deal at Century Media Records! We are really looking forward to working with them! We just visited their office and met everyone who works there and have to say that it already feels like home. Our new album "Say Hello To Tragedy" will be released in August, so keep your eyes and ears open for more news and some new tunes soon!”

CALIBAN is one of the few German bands who managed to build up an international status. In North America they toured with labelmates God Forbid, The Red Chord, I Killed The Prom Queen and many more and also stopped at North American Festivals such as Hellfest (Syracuse) and New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. They toured Japan with Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall, played the Beast Fest as well as visited Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia. Apart from several headline runs they were part of numerous European tours with bands such as In Flames and Devil Driver, Machine Head or Kreator. Also, it doesn’t come as a surprise that you could watch CALIBAN on countless European festivals such as With Full Force Festival (D), Graspop Metal Meeting (B), Summerbreeze (D), Rock am Ring/Rock im Park (D), Wacken Open Air (D) as well as the prestigious Nova Rock (A) and Download Festival (UK). Recently they supported Machine Head and their acquaintances Killswitch Engage on selected shows.

The new album “Say Hello To Tragedy” (which is scheduled for an August 24th release) was produced by Benny Richter, co-produced by guitarist Marc Goertz and mixed by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam D - the same team directing the previous “The Awakening” that hit the German Media Control Charts on #36
