GO RADIO unveil debut EP tracklist, artwork, release date!

Go Radio is proud to announce their debut EP released by Fearless Records. The album will be titled, "Do Overs And Second Chances" and will be released April 20th. See the album art and tracklist below.

Jason Lancaster (Vocals/Guitar):
"I really feel like this EP is the summary of what Go Radio is about right now. It's a collection of songs about where I was emotionally as well as some new ones that kinda tie everything together. I think I can safely say it's the first collection of songs, ep or otherwise, that tells the whole story for me. It starts off with songs written when I was at an emotional low point, but then there are songs that were written when I finally started to be picked back up. Although they may not be in chronological order, all the songs together really put the process of breathing in a lyrical form, at least for me. They even do so in a way that's still easy for me to listen to. Hahaha."

Tracklist:
1.) When Dreaming Gets Drastic
2.) Thanks For Nothing
3.) Letters and Love Notes
4.) It's Not A Trap, I Promise
5.) In Our Final Hour
6.) You Hold Your Breath, I'll Hold My Liquor
7.) Goodnight Moon

The Downtown Fiction release "Best I Never Had" EP on March 23rd

The Downtown Fiction hailing from Fairfax, VA, will release its new Best I Never Had EP, March 23 on Photo Finish Records (3OH!3, Envy on the Coast, Anthony Green).

The EP, recorded with acclaimed producer Stacy Jones, is now available for pre-order at: http://tinyurl.com/TDFpreorder.

In addition to being sold separately as a digital or physical EP ($5 each), the album can be purchased as a special $8 bundle which will include both the digital EP & physical EP, a TDF penguin bracelet, a signed TDF poster, and TDF stickers.

TDF has quickly built a loyal fan base and quite the buzz. Citing influences ranging from Green Day to The Rolling Stones, the pop-rock trio has a sound comparable to the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Blink 182, and The All-American Rejects.

Formed in the summer of 2008 by Cameron Leahy (vocals/guitar) and Eric Jones (drums), the two posted three demos on their MySpace and were blown away by the response. Soon after, they recruited friend David Pavluk on bass and backing vocals to round out the trio.

Last year the group released its self-titled debut EP on iTunes to rave reviews. Instantly peaking at #22 on the overall iTunes charts, it was made aware that TDF was something special. Thanks to their catchy pop melodies, clever lyrics, and witty YouTube videos, the band quickly moved into the Top 25 unsigned artists chart on Myspace.com with nearly 2.5 million plays on MySpace all in a year’s time. The young trio found additional success on TV, having songs featured in E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, MTV's The Hills, The Real World, and the final song of the season finale of Styl'd.

The Downtown Fiction will be performing at SXSW in Austin, TX next month, after which they will head out on the Class of 2010 Tour with Stephen Jerzak and Stereo Skyline, followed by a run on the Vans Warped Tour (see dates below.)

Three tracks off of the upcoming EP can be streamed now at www.myspace.com/thedowntownfiction.

1. Best I Never Had
2. Oceans Between
3. I Just Wanna Run
4. Take Me Home
5. You Were Wrong
6. Where Dreams Go To Die

Far's New Album "At Night We Live" Set For May 18th Release

“I think every record we had made in the past, there was always some sort of outside pressure,” said Lopez. “Either it was label, or us trying to “make it happen”. This writing and recording process was great, since there wasn’t any of that. The end result is something we are all very proud of.”

Far got their start in Sacramento, California in the early ‘90’s and released four full-length albums before disbanding in 1998, soon after the release of Water & Solutions. That album was considered one of the most influential post-hardcore records ever by Alternative Press and Kerrang! magazines, among others, and remains a touchstone for bands as diverse as blink-182, My Chemical Romance, and Deftones.

Far will be playing Noisepop in San Francisco on February 23rd and Indie Fest in San Diego on March 25th. Check out their myspace page at www.myspace.com/Far for more details!

Isles & Glaciers "The Hearts Of Lonely People" album tracklist!

Equal Vision Records is pleased to announce the highly anticipated release of Isles & Glaciers' EP, The Hearts Of Lonely People on March 9th. Something of an underground "supergroup," Isles & Glaciers features Craig Owens, Vic and Mike Fuentes (Pierce The Veil), Jonny Craig (Emarosa), Matt Goddard (Chiodos), Brian Southall (The Receiving End Of Sirens, Boys Night Out), and Nick Martin (Underminded). The Hearts Of Lonely People was recorded in just 10 days with Casey Bates (Chiodos, The Fall Of Troy, Portugal. The Man) at his studio in Seattle, WA.
While each member is expectedly busy with their respective bands, Martin asserts that these songs weren't merely throwaways from their other projects. "We got together as friends and just did what was natural to us - we wrote and played music. Eventually it turned into songs that we were all really excited about and just wanted to share."

To date, the group has only performed live once: the 2009 Alternative Press SXSW showcase. "It's not an easy task getting us all together," says Southall, who fills his time tour managing Motion City Soundtrack since his previous bands' splits, "but that doesn't mean we won't do it again."

The Hearts Of Lonely People will be sold exclusively at Hot Topic stores and through all online retailers (iTunes, Rhapsody, MerchNow, ShockHound, etc).

The Hearts Of Lonely People tracklist:
1. Kings and Chandeliers
2. Hills Like White Elephants
3. Clush
4. Empty Sighs and Wine
5. Oceans For Backyards
6. Viola Lion
7. Cemetery Weather

The Weakerthans Announce Release of Concert DVD/CD

Indie rock heroes The Weakerthans new DVD-CD Live at the Burton Cummings Theater, set for release on March 23, offers a jubilant testament to the Winnipeg band's considerable creative powers as both literary minded songwriters and charismatic live performers. Founded in 1997 the band has deep roots in the thriving North American indie scene. The band is revered for both their powerfully melodic folk punk sound and the vivid and inspired imagery of the lyrics - their beloved song "Plea from a Cat Named Virtute" is told from the point of view of a depressive's wise and knowing cat. The live DVD was recorded in April of 2009 as the band toured in support of their triumphant album Reunion Tour with an expanded line-up featuring trumpet, violin and female vocals, playing songs from all four acclaimed releases in front of an adoring and enthusiastic hometown crowd.

"This is investigative journalism with a heart of compassion, a steady back-beat and four buzzing power chords. If such a prize existed, it would be the leading candidate for this year's Punk Pulitzer." - Paste

"The band sounds richer than ever....it's not hard to imagine Death Cab for Cutie fans falling in love with this album. From "Night Windows" to "Civil Twilight" these songs are full of characters and tunes that stick. Maybe you're not eager for another melancholy song about the life of a touring musician, but on an album this engrossing, this good, you take what you can get." - New York Times

1. Everything Must Go

Woe Of Tyrants Unveil Album Title, Release Date for Third Album!

Official Press Release:

Woe Of Tyrants spent the entirety of 2009 criss-crossing the US on a multitude of tours. After the grueling schedule came to a close, did they head home to rest and take some time off? NOPE! They dove right into songwriting for the follow up to their sophomore album and Metal Blade debut, Kingdom Of Might. This time around, the guys have seriously turned up the shred-knob and churned out some of the most exciting songs we've heard swirling around the Metal Blade offices in quite some time. On this record, you'll find equal parts speed, groove and over the top guitar soloing. Headbanging will be mandatory.

The new album, Threnody, will be released worldwide on April 13th while the band will be on the road with Overkill and Vader. The artwork and first track will be up on the band's myspace, myspace.com/wot, in the coming weeks. Before then, SiriusXM Liquid Metal listeners will be treated to an exclusive premiere of the first single, Creatures Of The Mire on Friday, February 12th.

Vocalist Chris Catanzaro discusses the themes of Threnody:
"Well 2009 proved to be a monstrous one for Woe of Tyrants. It was a year of accomplishing goals such as releasing our debut Metal Blade album, touring with bands we've grown up listening to, and meeting thousands of awesome people all over the country. As we embark into 2010, our goals have shifted up a few gears. We have a brand baby spankin' new record that we finished recording at the end of 2009 with Jamie King producing, and to embrace the cliché "this is the most epic brutal stuff we've ever done and we're stoked on it!" The album is entitled Threnody. Now for those of us who do not know what that word means right off hand (I had to look it up as I was reading a passage from Ralph Waldo Emerson long ago), a threnody is a song or hymn inspired by the grief of losing someone you love. The album tells a story of a non-specific individual traveling between planets searching for answers, while paralleling Satan's fall from grace to damnation at the same time. We all experience a change at some point as we travel through life, albeit not of the same magnitude as Lucifer, that will render us either content, or disgusted. When disgust is the feeling, then we begin to miss our former self as if they were an entirely different person. I'd like to be clear that I'm not referring specifically to Christians, or Muslims, or Amish or whatever else the kids are doing these days. Threnody, as we are using it, is a story of grief over losing oneself. This album will surprise those familiar with our band, and hopefully surpass any preconceived notions of those who are listening to us for the first time. If you have expectations for this record to sound like our last two albums, it doesn't. Well, a little like the others, as we still prefer playing leads over doing breakdowns, and we still wish we were Wintersun or Decapitated. But for the most part, this record is new territory for us and we are excited to unleash it.

We have a huge touring schedule kicking off in the spring, preceded by some regional shows in February as a part of the "Metal as Art" tour with Hypno5e, Starring Janet Leigh and Fallen Martyr. At the end of March, we leave on the KILLFEST tour which features Overkill, Vader, God Dethroned, Warbringer and Evile. We couldn't be happier about being involved with such an epic tour, and to join Overkill on their 25th anniversary tour is truly an honor. Much love!"

Year of the Black Rainbow provides the long awaited prequel to the band’s four previous inter-related concept albums — The Second Stage Turbine Blade (2002); In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (2003); Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness (2005) and Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow (2007) - which comprise “The Amory Wars,” the conceptual narrative driving the band’s lyrics, penned by Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez. Year Of The Black Rainbow is also likely to be the final installment of the narrative of “The Amory Wars.”

Year of the Black Rainbow is produced by Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails, Jane’s Addiction) and Joe Baressi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool). According to the Sanchez, “They have helped us evolve our sound to be more powerful and dynamic than ever and we think it’s definitely our best work to date.” The new record also features the studio debut of Coheed and Cambria drummer Chris Pennie, who has been playing alongside Sanchez, guitarist Travis Stever and bassist Michael Robert Todd since 2007 and was featured on Neverender: Children of the Fence Edition, the CD/DVD box set documentation of the fall/winter 2008 four-night stands during which the band played its catalogue in its entirety, one album per night, in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and London.

Red Sparowes new album video teaser

Los Angeles quintet RED SPAROWES offers a preview of song snippets from its forthcoming epic, heavy and sprawling third album in a video trailer posted today. The disc, titled The Fear Is Excruciating, But Therein Lies The Answer will be released via Sargent House on April 6th, 2010. See complete tracklisting below.

There has never been as pronounced of a leap in style and scope as with Red Sparowes' latest offering. The Fear is Excruciating, But Therein Lies the Answer maintains their layered arrangements and swirling amplified crescendos, Americana noir soundscapes (punctuated by the extended pedal steel on “In Every Mind”), and gloriously triumphant melodies (“Giving Birth to Imagined Saviors”). Earlier records focused on the larger scope of the album, but the new album is song-centered, with the individual tracks harboring stronger independent identities. And where previous endeavors found the band propelled by enormous walls of sound, they now temper their monolithic progressions with distinct passages of separated and soft-spoken instrumentation. Red Sparowes were suspiciously absent from the playing field over the last three years, and now it’s apparent that they were busy drafting the grandest statement and finest achievement of their existence.

The Fear is Excruciating, But Therein Lies the Answer was recorded August - September 2009 at Infrasonic Sound by Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Big Business, Tool). Album photography and design by Greg Burns and layout by Sonny Kay.

Artist: Red Sparowes

Miami’s KNOCK ‘EM DEAD are set to release their long awaited debut album “Endless Struggle” on February 2nd through Eulogy Recordings. The album was produced by Will Putney at the Machine Shop. They recently shot a music video for the song “Killing Hope” off the new album by Brad Gregory which is currently in the editing process. The first installment of 3 video studio blogs has just been posted on their newly revised Myspace page HERE. A new song “Endless Struggle” has also been posted on their new Myspace page. “Endless Struggle” is KNOCK ‘EM DEAD’s long awaited debut album. The album is complete from top to bottom, from the lyrics to the music. We wanted to write something original but keep the Miami flavor. We were really inspired by Sepultura, Slayer, All Out War, 100 Demons, Napalm Death and last but not least Rage Against The Machine. To some people the lyrics will hit right at home, to others the fast and heavy music is something they can relate too. The album is called “ENDLESS STRUGGLE” because we believe will never stop struggling!
