Forming in 2008 and originally signed to Tragic Hero Records, Greensboro, North Carolina hardcore quintet TO SPEAK OF WOLVES has signed to Solid State Records. The band features drummer Phil Chamberlain, the older brother of Underoath vocalist, Spencer. With a history of touring with Underoath, Emery, Confide, Oceana and more, TO SPEAK OF WOLVES is stepping out on their own this February with Tragic Hero band, Us From Outside. See the tour dates on the band's myspace page.
Drummer Phil Chamberlain stated:
yes its all new members except for me (phil the drummer). i started the band with friends about a year and a half ago, we did a lot of touring and some rad things and over the months a few people didn't want to tour anymore so slowly over the last couple months i replaced everyone with people that wanted to tour.
solid state wanted to sign us and tragic was totally cool with letting us move up to a bigger label where we felt like we would have more success.
our debut full length will be out this spring/summer on solid state and we will be posting new material soon as the record is being mixed currently.
TO SPEAK OF WOLVES just signed to Tragic Hero last month and this past Tuesday just released their debut EP, "Voices", and they debut their first music video for the new single, "This Light Stays On"!
A few weeks ago, Spencer from Underoath posted a blog telling fans to check out his brother, Phil's new band, TO SPEAK OF WOLVES. Fast forward to the end of 2008, TO SPEAK OF WOLVES, a hardcore sextet based out of North Carolina is signed to a record deal with Tragic Hero Records. The band features former members of Sullivan and The Human Flight Committee. The band's lead vocalist is Aaron, one of the main web designers from Sons of Nero and if you were wondering, Spencer's bro is Phil and he plays the drums. Oh and did we mention that Drew Fulk, the band's guitarist is a producer and has previously worked with a handful of bands from Tragic Hero Records. Hmm...
TO SPEAK OF WOLVES will be releasing their debut EP, "Following Voices", on January 13th. Check out their Myspace, dates are listed for touring dates in January 2009! The band has also recently shot a music video for "The Lights Stay On", which is to be released in 2009 as well.
