MASTODON announce their spring headline tour of North America which will begin April 16, 2010. The tour presented by Volcom, will feature support from special guests, Between The Buried And Me, Baroness, and Valient Thorr. The Volcom Tour 2010 tickets will go on sale Friday, February 12th.

MASTODON scoring DC Comics movie "Jonah Hex"

Georgia sludge metal rockers MASTODON have announced that they are scoring the new DC Comics film adaption, "Jonah Hex".

Jonah Hex is bounty hunter in the late 19th century tracking down voodoo practitioner Quentin Turnbull, who plans to liberate the Confederate South with an army of the undead. The film is directed by Jimmy Hayward and stars Josh Brolin as the title character, Jonah Hex. The film is scheduled to be released on June 18, 2010via Warner Bros..

MASTODON is currently working on "Jonah Hex" with composer John Powell and the movie's director, Jimmy Hayward on the score.
