Isles & Glaciers "The Hearts Of Lonely People" album tracklist!

Equal Vision Records is pleased to announce the highly anticipated release of Isles & Glaciers' EP, The Hearts Of Lonely People on March 9th. Something of an underground "supergroup," Isles & Glaciers features Craig Owens, Vic and Mike Fuentes (Pierce The Veil), Jonny Craig (Emarosa), Matt Goddard (Chiodos), Brian Southall (The Receiving End Of Sirens, Boys Night Out), and Nick Martin (Underminded). The Hearts Of Lonely People was recorded in just 10 days with Casey Bates (Chiodos, The Fall Of Troy, Portugal. The Man) at his studio in Seattle, WA.
While each member is expectedly busy with their respective bands, Martin asserts that these songs weren't merely throwaways from their other projects. "We got together as friends and just did what was natural to us - we wrote and played music. Eventually it turned into songs that we were all really excited about and just wanted to share."

To date, the group has only performed live once: the 2009 Alternative Press SXSW showcase. "It's not an easy task getting us all together," says Southall, who fills his time tour managing Motion City Soundtrack since his previous bands' splits, "but that doesn't mean we won't do it again."

The Hearts Of Lonely People will be sold exclusively at Hot Topic stores and through all online retailers (iTunes, Rhapsody, MerchNow, ShockHound, etc).

I'm definitely thinking that the remaining members of Chiodos must be feeling a slight case of envy, especially if they aren't as successful without Craig Owens, the former face of the band.

JONNY CRAIG's new solo side project

After rumors, it's official, JONNY CRAIG is developing a solo side project via Rise Records. I guess recording with Craig Owens got Jonny inspired to add another side project to his repertoire.

No news on when some music will be released but Jonny is listed as a solo artist on Rise Records' band list on their website AND Jonny just created a new Myspace page on February 20th. In our interview with Jonny a couple months ago, he cited Boyz II Men as one of his musical inspirations, so will we hear some R&B styled rhymes?

News: CRAIG OWENS' new group w/ Jonny Craig!

ISLES & GLACIERS is the name of the new Craig Owens' side project! The band features: Jonny Craig (Emarosa), Vic & Mike Fuentes (Pierce the Veil), Matt Goddard (Chiodos), Nick Martin (Underminded), and Brian Southall (The Company We Keep). The first few weeks of December before Jonny's tour with Emarosa & Haste the Day, the 7-man band was recording tracks with Casey Bates (Chiodos, Foxy Shazam...) in Seattle, WA at his Johnny Cab Studio.

From our interview with Jonny, he stated we can expect a DVD of the recording sessions some time in March and a single will be released early 2009 (January/February). The group remains unsigned...and oh I wonder who will be clamoring to sign this band, EVERYONE! The fact of Craig and Jonny in a group alone is gonna sellout concerts if they go on tour and records will fly off the shelves or illegal downloads for tracks will be in huge demand!
