Bio: My Lady Four are still a relatively new band. ML4 was formed in August ‘08 in Minneapolis, MN. However, in that time the band has played shows with a number of touring acts (Quietdrive, Ryan Cabrera, New Medicine, etc.) and have upcoming dates with Four Letter Lie, Dropping Daylight, and more. The band has quite a few Hot Topic acoustic performances scheduled as well as a full tour of the Midwest/East Coast/South regions of the U.S. this Fall. The new album is titled Everyone Pays The Gatekeeper. It was produced by Jordan Schmidt (Sing It Loud, All Time Low, You Me And Everyone We Know), and was released digitally late last month (July 2009). The 8-track disc is a concept album, chronologically depicting the experiences of a gatekeeper who comes to find he's on trial for the crimes of another. The album is the first part of a two part series, the second part to be released summer of 2010. Though the album was built as a concept album, the music stands completely independent, depicting the characters and in many cases our emotions as well. The idea was to make the music stand wholly and fully on its own, while the story does the same, but together the two things can make something much bigger. Also worth noting, the band's single "...Sometimes the Bear Eats You" features guest vocals from Jake Scherer (of Photo Finish Records act New Medicine).
