NEWS: The Years Gone By signs with Rise Records

The Years Gone By signs with Rise Records

Hey everyone! Nick here. Before I tell you all the great news, on behalf of THE YEARS GONE BY, I want to thank you all for supporting our band these past few years. Whether it was buying our CD, coming out to a show or just taking time to say hello to us, we really appreciate everything and everyone we have met.

We are currently living in an apartment, in Goshen New York, recording our new 12 song full length CD. The tentative name of the LP is titled "FOREVER COMES TOO SOON" and we will have more info and a release date in the coming weeks. Sorry about not having any studio updates...internet here is non-existant. We, however, have been taking lots of video and have plenty of footage so when we're home you can expect some updates on what we have accomplished in the past month.

Now the good stuff...

We are pleased to announce that we have chosen a label who believes in our band as much as we do. We have signed to Rise Records and couldn't be more excited for what the future has in store for us.

Make sure to check out all there artists @ Myspace.com/RiseRecords

See ya all on the road!

NEWS: South Florida band goes CANADIAH, EH!

Official press release:

Absolutely ferocious, hard hitting, and uniquely original, These Words Remain (Sarasota, FL) have signed on with Torque Records with big plans to release their debut album in the fall.

Consisting of Danny Lopez (Vocals), Justus Hall (Guitar), Iggy Smerelda (guitar), Drew Johnson (Bass), and Cory Moorefield (drums). These Words Remain have so far overcome the odds and have stood out ahead of the rest. Formed in late 2006, the group has stopped at nothing to get to this point. Professionalism is everything to this band. Jumping straight to touring and gaining friends and respect among much larger band than themselves, and touring on Victory records tours. As an unsigned band gaining support and endorsements from Madison amps, numerous small clothing companies, and even a spot as a New Line Management band. "New Line, from the day we signed on, have fully supported and believed in us. Our manager, Brandon Mullins (Across Five Aprils) and New Line owner, Caleb Morgan, and Gillian Scott (pure grain promo) have been such an amazing help, and a huge driving force behind our success."

Professional performers and artists through and through, These Words Remain will continue to force their way into an already crowded scene providing a non stop, top of the line performance for a long time to come. "Our main goal with this album is to create a memorable and lasting impression on people" says the band. "we've worked really hard on this, with hopes to really refresh the similar genres. We like to really take pride in our study of music and the emotions our songs are meant to portray."

Their album is set to release in the fall worldwide on Torque and Victory records

NEWS: I Set My Friends On Fire SIGN to EPITAPH

I SET MY FRIENDS ON FIRE SIGN TO EPITAPH RECORDS

Experimental Electro-Grind Duo Sign To Epitaph Records And Plan Fall Debut

Ironic and completely original, I Set My Friends On Fire have signed to Epitaph Records with plans to release their debut album in the fall.

Consisting of Matt (Vocals) and Nabil (Instruments/Programming/Vocals), ISMFOF defy conventional genres by cross-breeding electronica with elements of grind and hardcore for one of the freshest sounds around. Formed in late 2007, the duo became an overnight hit with their incredible rock/screamo cover of Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat," which attracted over 50,000 plays per day and the attention of Epitaph owner Brett Gurewitz. In March of 2008 the band signed to Epitaph Records and began writing music for their first album due out this fall.

ISMFOF's unique music, hot merch and hilarious self-made videos have helped the group build massive underground buzz and a legion of fans via the group's Myspace page. With over 6 million page views and eighty nine thousand friends, ISMFOF are the face of DIY in the digital age.

"The album will have every genre you ever heard of mixed into one big bowl," explains Matt. "It's going to be crazy! Not your usual listen." "Fans should brace themselves for something that is very different and unique, but also very familiar at the same time," continues Nabil. "We pride ourselves on thinking outside the box as well as not having any limitations musically or creatively-speaking."

Raw Tuneage: VAUDEVILLE (CALIFORNIA)

Vaudeville - [vawd-vil] a theatrical piece of light or amusing character, interspersed with songs and dances.

For two years, VAUDEVILLE has been working hard at making a names for themselves in the fresno/ central valley scene. Last December, with the release of "How To Say Goodbye", Vaudeville took the next step into beginning to place their name among the top. The cd took a little less than a year to engineer and produce, and every ounce of energy, heart, and passion has been poured into it. Because the cd took so long to produce and put out, the band has already almost written an entire new album. they intend to return to the studio in the Fall of '08 to begin pre-production on the cd. You can most likely expect to hear the tunes in early 2009.
